Jobs Growth Wales+ Employer Funding - 50% Wage Support

Help us train the next generation of skilled workers with our Jobs Growth Wales+ (JGW+) Employment Strand.

When you employ an unemployed young person aged 16 to 19 years via the JGW+ programme, we’ll pay up to 50% of each young person’s salary costs, at the National Minimum Wage, up to a maximum of 40 hours for the first six months. 

Who is eligible?

Our Employment Strand is available to any business in any industry across Wales. You must be able to offer a young person a minimum of 16 hours a week, at National Minimum Wage, for a minimum of six months. 

Any new jobs created must be additional to your current workforce and you must be committed to sustaining employment of the young person after the programme has finished.
