To ensure the efficient and economical resource and rostering of train-crew and Station staff on a 24-hour basis for the defined area to ensure the
company has coverage for all of its services and station duties. The real time management of Train crew at Cardiff Central to ensure the timetabled service is delivered.
•To ensure efficient resource and rostering of train-crew as dictated by Transport for Wales Rail Services rostering arrangements to ensure compliance with the safety case requirements and the running of the current train plan.
•To provide Managers with confidential reports, records and data in conjunction with train–crew and resource activities.
•To provide Managers with advice in linking structures and train-crew training requirements such as route and traction knowledge.
•Control of supervised and unsupervised depots to ensure the flow of management information, notice cases, Traincrew notice/information and fitness for duty requirements and competencies.
•To ensure communication internally and externally to ensure coverage of the train plan and contracted work.
•To provide Managers with relevant information on daily activities to ensure remedial investigations can be carried out, all relevant data to be recorded with the Resource Daily log.
•To provide accurate pay-bill information for train-crew and station staff work and activity.
•Liaise with the Control team to ensure Traincrew coverage of disruption plan and this is
communicated to the Traincrew involved. During any service alterations provide all information to Traincrew.
•Undertake performance monitoring and provide data back to the Performance Function. Monitor the dispatch process at Cardiff Central real time to identify performance improvement.
•Proactively monitor the timetabled service real time and make any adjustments to Traincrew resources where necessary. Provide customer service during times of minor disruption.
Salary: £16,700 per annum
Hours: 37 Hours Per Week
