If you are 16-19 and looking for full-time employment and know what job you want to do then our Jobs Growth Wales+ (JGW+) Employment strand is for you.
Our JGW+ programme is for young people who are focused and job ready.
This programme is designed to help you develop your employability skills and support you with work-related preparation, from essential skills to interview techniques. We will help you with assisted job searches and progress you into sustainable employment, or an Apprenticeship, at the earliest opportunity.
Whilst you are waiting to find a suitable job, this strand will help you secure work placements where you can gain hands-on, practical experience alongside your training. Your learning will be centred round preparing you to enter the world of work and an individual learning plan will be developed to support your specific needs.
Your learning plan will include:
We aim to find a suitable employment opportunity for you within 10 weeks of your start date on the JGW+ Employment strand. You will receive a training allowance of up to £60 per week whilst you are looking for a job and move to a wage, determined by your employer, upon your start date.
We have lots of job opportunities already, with employers looking to give you employment. So please check out our vacancy pages here.
If you have already identified an employment opportunity we can help you transition into your new job and offer financial support through a 50% wage subsidy for your prospective employer.
We will also help support you and your employer during the first 6 month with mentoring and coaching sessions.
